DAE soon to break ground on one of the tallest residential buildings in Denver

DENVER, Colo. (March 20, 2007) - DAE to break ground in the beginning of April for The Spire, a 960,000 square foot luxury high-rise condominium complex.

Located at 14th and Champa streets, Spire Denver, a $120 million, 42-story condominium tower will comprise of more than 500 residential units. The top of the building will rise to 470 feet, with the spire stretching its total height to 525 feet. The Spire will feature a tower of mostly glass with narrow vertical masonry elements in an art deco manner.

As many downtown residential developments are focusing on more expensive, empty-nester luxury condominiums, The Spire will be geared more to the young professionals that work and enjoy their free time in downtown Denver. Options are ranging from affordable-housing units priced from $165,000 to upper-floor condos costing more than $500,000 with the majority of residences priced in the $200,000 and $300,000 range.

Construction is scheduled for completion in early 2009.
